9 Days/8 Nights Flying Safari – Best of Kenya

Enjoy ‘our best’ individual Flying Safari in a private 6 seater plane. Your pilot is your guide, too. After this safari you will have seen them all: Mount Kenya, Meru Game Park, the wonderful north-central Kenya, the magic Masai Mara, the giant Tsavo National Park and the glacier-covered Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 1 – 2 – Meru National Park | Rhino River Lodge

The biggest Kenyan river, Tana River, is flowing through the area and enchants with extraordinary rock formations. It is famous for a great variety of animals like lions, leopards and various antelopes and sometimes the rarely reticulated giraffe, the Grevy zebra and the blue throated Somali ostrich. Tana River offers a habitat for crocodiles, hippos and water birds. Nestled along the Kidani River in the cool shade of bamboo forest is Rhino River Camp. Eco-friendly with only 8 luxury cottages built of canvas and wood this lodge gives you the possibility of exploring the wildlife of the Meru National Park and relax on your verandah with a therapeutic massage.

Day 3 – 4 – Laikipia | Sabuk Lodge

Day 5 – 7 – Masai Mara | Mara Siria Luxury Tented Camp

With Tanzania´s Serengeti the Masai Mara makes a giant ecosystem where animals are roaming free. It is famous for the biggest African population of lions. You have the best chance here to photograph the ‘Big-Five’ – elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions and leopards. Only few places on the continent of Africa or elsewhere can compare with the multitudes of wild animals in the Mara. Mara Siria Camp is stunningly positioned at the Siria Escarpment – experience the real ‘Out of Africa’ safari-feeling.

Day 8 – 9 – Tsavo West National Park | Finch Hattons

DW Finch Hatton 2 003With its 20.800 square kilometers Tsavo is the biggest Kenyan national park. Finch Hattons Camp offers a great varienty of vegetation and widlife. The camp was named after the big game hunter Denis Finch Hatton who was also the famed for having been Karen Blixen`s lover. She wrote about him in her ‘Out of Afrika’. The Camp offers excellent cuisine and a wonderful view of the snow-covered mountains of Mount Kilimanjaro.
